Batteries Plus Evaluates All Potential Vendors 

Batteries Plus maintains two separate Quality Assurance teams, one stationed overseas with another one located near their corporate office in Hartland, WI. The overseas team’s primary responsibility is the vetting of all potential international suppliers. 

Before doing business with a vendor, our overseas team performs on-site evaluations of their quality systems, manufacturing capabilities, social accountability standards and more. This ensures that the products each vendor produces live up to the company’s high safety, performance and reliability standards.

Batteries Plus Performs Additional Product Testing 

If a vendor meets the company’s quality standards, Batteries Plus tests sample products at our overseas and Hartland facilities. These tests gauge whether the products meet the appropriate industry standards.

In addition to these industry standard tests, the Hartland team also performs its own environmental quality testing. These tests gauge every aspect of a battery’s performance, including how well batteries respond to extreme temperatures and overcharging. Light bulbs are evaluated through photometric tests designed to verify everything from their current to voltage, color temperature and more. 

Batteries Plus Keeps Tabs on the Quality of its Products 

Even after a product leaves our warehouse, Batteries Plus continues to keep tabs on product quality through our Customer Concern reports. If a customer has a bad experience with a product, the owner of the store where it was purchased can file a Customer Concern report in our centralized database. 

This report goes directly to the QA Team who will follow up with the franchisee and track the issue to help identify any ongoing problems. If a trend is identified, the QA team will work with the manufacturer to get it fixed.
